While your average Fisherman is an independent, adventurous and free spirited type...We advise that you use a Fishing Guide, Sports Fishing Belize will even assist you in creating a custom package with a fair amount of independence thrown in…(if that’s what you want).
The Professional Fishing Guide is the fastest way to get up to speed on Tactics, Weather Conditions, Lure/Fly Types, Fish Habits and the Best Locations.
I have lost count of the number of times I have seen Fisherman staying at resorts on Ambergris Caye casting at Tailing Bonefish. They are on a D.I.Y. Holiday and so are the Bonefish…….After a day or so they give up and eventually land up trying to find a Fishing Guide, but it’s too late because all the good guides are booked up in advance...

Our Guides have a combined experience of almost 100 years of fishing in Belize ..Each guide has one or two unique specialties , however all of our Fishing Guides are capable of taking you out in pursuit of any species you wish to pursue, on fly or conventional Spinning Gear.
Each guide prides themselves on knowing where the fish are, the best areas and times to fish for them. When booking with us it is important to inform us of the type of fishing and species you wish to pursue.
Armed with this knowledge we can match up a Guide for you, however if you have a preference or have fished with a specific Guide before, please inform us at time of reservation , so that we may advise if the Guide is available or not - if not we can recommend a guide of similar experience and ability.
